The true gift God gives with a child
Although she may have a great life
She could not know the miracle of life

As a mother she cradles pure joy
She never knew how soft skin could feel
Or how special God made fingers and toes

As a woman her eyes saw clearly
As a mother her vision reborn
For with newfound love she sees

Each day she sets the harmony

It was agony from every fiber and bone

As a mother her heart a deep well
Privately absorbing the little things
