I pray
for the children
Who
seldom wear a smile
Who
are teased and taunted
For
wearing clothes out of style
I pray
for the children
Who
tease and make fun
Who
wear designer jeans
While
human worth is left undone
I pray
for the children
Who
cry themselves to sleep
Who
know how hunger feels
When
daddy doesn't work all week
I pray
for the children
Who
find themselves obese
Who
try to fill the emptiness
But
the gnawing inside won't cease
I pray
for the children
Who's
homes are on the street
Who
never had a teddy
Or
a kiss to lull them to sleep
I pray
for the children
Who
live in elaborate homes
Who's
parents are never around
So
they get used to feeling alone
I pray
for the children
Who's
nightmares are real
Who's
monsters crawl into their bed
Who's
deep wounds may never heal
I pray
for the children
Who
never made it through
Who's
screams were heard too late
By
someone like me or you
Amen

in this prayer for the children
Parents, teach
your children the value of kindness
and the scars
of riducule. Explain to them that we
never know what
other children go home to face.
Did you know
that nationally the rate of child abuse
is growing 8
times faster than the population?
Did you know
the number 1 reason for this is
parents who are
addicted to drugs or alcohol?
