Two little girls were
dancing,
The music thumped on the wall...
Someone shouted, "Turn that down!!"
One whispered, "They're no fun at all"
Two little girls were
playing,
Giggles filled up the night...
Their sleepiness overcame them,
One fought it with all her might
Two little girls lay
dreaming,
The world lay at their feet...
Musical boys danced all around,
One kissed her hand so sweet
Two little girls were
growing,
They hardly noticed the time slip by...
Spaces grew between them,
One got married, the other cried
Two young women were
laughing,
And crying at the same time...
Their hearts were filled with sweet memories,
Of a friendship that could never die
Two old ladies were rocking,
They talked for half the night...
Then sleepiness overcame them,
They giggled and turned out the light
